Queries
We strive to include fresh voices, ideas and perspectives in our magazines. We emphasize stories with a local focus and prefer to work with writers from the Metroplex. All story queries should be submitted by e-mail to editorial@dfwchild.com, or via mail or fax to the editor. It is our goal to respond to all queries; however, due to the volume that we receive, this may not be possible. Please, no phone calls. All ideas are given the consideration they deserve when they are received. The magazines assume no responsibility for unsolicited manuscripts. The editors have unrestricted editing rights.

Calendar Listings
EveryDay is the most well-read section of our magazines. Entries must be received by the 10th of the month prior to the month of publication, must be open to the public, of interest to families in the North Texas area and cost no more than $25 per person. Please include name and description of event, address, phone number, Web site, time, date, cost and age served. We reserve the right to edit and withhold submissions.

Parent Resources
In an effort to provide the most comprehensive resource guide for our community, we list family resources online, including parenting organizations, support groups and education. To be included in our free Parent Resources section, please submit: name of organization, who to contact, meeting times and agenda, location and other pertinent information, along with the mission statement of the group. Mommy Diaries
It’s our way of getting to know you—and letting our readers get to know you. Diaries from Metroplex moms are welcome. Diaries should be approximately 800 words long, include a bio, contact information and a photo of your family. All submissions are subject to editing and may be cut for space.
