Parks & Playground Reviews: Plano's Parkwood Green Park

After a busy day of shopping at The Shops at Willow Bend, cut across the Dallas North Tollway to Plano’s Parkwood Green Park, which features a fun little playscape that earned an A on DallasChild’s Safety Report Card.*

The playscape might be a bit dingy, but it packs a fun punch mostly for older kids. There is no separate play area for smaller kids, so you might want to bring along a toy or two to keep children younger than 5 busy (although there is a short slide that smaller kids will love). ulch padding. A covered tube structure high off the ground lets kids slither through while giving them a cool view of the playground below. Monkey rings and a climbing structure complete the fun. One note for cautious parents, though: The monkey rings and the platform leading to the monkey rings is high off the ground, so make sure kids look before they leap!
